Hilyah of Prohpet Muhammad(PBUH)
Description: At the top of the Hilye-i Şerîfe is the Basmala. The Hilye text is written in the Naskh script within the circular section in the middle and the rectangular section at the bottom. Between the rectangular section at the bottom and the circular section in the middle, the Kalima Tayyibah is inscribed. The four corners of the central circular Hilye text contain the four names of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Translation of the Hilye text:
When Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) described the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "His height was neither too short nor too tall; he was of medium stature. His hair was neither short and curly nor straight but was between the two. His face was round, his complexion was a clear white, his eyes were large and black, and his eyelashes were long. He had large bones and broad shoulders. His chest was hairless from the center to the stomach. His palms and feet were full-fleshed and firm, not flat. When he walked, it was as if he descended from a slope, walking with ease. When he looked to his right or left, he would turn his whole body. Between his two shoulders was the seal of prophethood, a sign that he was the last of the prophets. He was the most generous-hearted of people, the most gentle in disposition, and the most sociable. Those who saw him unexpectedly were struck by awe, but those who became familiar with him through companionship loved him more than anything. Anyone who tried to describe his virtues and beauty would find themselves saying, 'I have never seen anyone like him, neither before nor after!' This is how Hazrat Ali (may Allah honor his face) described the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Ali Hüsrevoğlu wrote this to seek his intercession."
The Kalima Tayyibah written in the lower section:
Transliteration: La ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasulullah
Translation: There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His messenger.
The names of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the corners:
Ahmed
Muhammad
Hâmid
